Security & ethics
Your students' data stays with them.
Valen VR is built around a single architectural guarantee: no student PII is ever collected, transmitted, or stored. Compliance is not a policy layer — it is the product's default state.
The data promise
"Nostudentname,ID,grade,oranypersonallyidentifiableinformationisevercollectedorstoredbyValenVR,on-deviceoroff."
This applies to all schools, all libraries, and all users, at all times. It is not configurable — you cannot accidentally turn data collection on.
Compliance certifications
FERPA
CompliantFamily Educational Rights and Privacy Act
Valen collects no student records, names, IDs, or any personally identifiable information. Sessions are anonymous by architecture — there is nothing to protect because there is nothing stored.
COPPA
CompliantChildren's Online Privacy Protection Act
No accounts. No logins. No information collected from any user, including children under 13. The device operates entirely locally; it never connects a student to a record.
